On Monday, the World Economic Forum announced the release of the Outlook on the Global Agenda 2012 report, which highlights the six most pressing issues facing global decision-makers in 2012. The report is the annual publication by the Network of Global Agenda councils, which is made up of more than 1,200 influential leaders in the areas of government, business, civil society, and academia. The six issues identified are:
- Global Economy
- Power Shifts and Emerging Markets
- Job Creation
- Political Entrenchment
- Climate Change
- Digital Revolution
The interactive report includes videos, an index of the issues, and the results of the Network of Global Agenda Councils survey. The survey, which was answered by almost 500 members of the councils, polls these thought leaders on the major issues and trends in the world today and the potential consequences that result from those trends.
